MHRA Gets New Viagra Result
The MHRA that licenses and regulates the sale of drugs and medication in the UK has been stepping up action against the illegal sales of Viagra and the other impotence drugs and medicines for some time and has had some noticeable results that are welcomed by Ukmedix. In another recent success a man has been apprehended and fined for touting a gel from his website that he claimed worked in the same way as Viagra and produced very long lasting and effective erections.
The man a certain Mr Underhill used his home as an office to run his illegal website based in a small town in Hampshire. The Guildford Crown Court noted that he was selling illegal medicines and that the so called Viagra gel that he was selling had not been subjected to clinical testing and was therefore likely to be fraudulent as well as illegal and unlicensed. Mr Underhill who pleaded guilty was given a fine of £500 also ordered to find a further £1,000 in costs.
The police who caught him were led to his house by someone who had been sold an illegal erectile dysfunction drug called Kamagra that is a cheap, illegal and unregulated version of Viagra. The MHRA released a statement saying that Mr. Underhill had put members of the public in danger by the act of selling the unlicensed drugs online.
The MHRA has reaffirmed its commitment to really clamp down on individuals that continue to break the law regarding the sales of erectile dysfunction medicines and in fact any form of medicine that is not licensed and regulated.
The Medicines Act clearly outlines the laws with regard to the sale of all drugs and they must be followed in order to properly protect public health and so make certain that the public gets safe and effective medication at all times.
