New Warning On Fake Viagra Drug

11 January 2007 (Thursday)

Ukmedix News would like to bring to the attention of all its readers that it has received an urgent warning regarding the use of sexual function enhancer called Boy Joy that is manufactured in China and sold online by illegal websites. The medicine has been picked up in Hong Kong and has been found to contain the sildenafil citrate compound that is only meant to be used in Viagra made by Pfizer.

The tests done on the drug also found that it contains another compound called hydroxyhomosildenafil that has not been evaluated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction or in fact for any medical condition on humans or animals.

At Ukmedix we have decided this year to step up our campaign of giving our readers information about the vast array of illegal and dangerous erectile dysfunction medicine that is made mainly in China and often distributed on the Internet. Very often these sex aids have a derivative of the active ingredient of Viagra that is not properly tested. Even more worrying is that very often the manufacturers of these medicines claim that they are natural and therefore very safe when in fact they are far from that. The use of sildenafil or a derivative of it will interact with other medicines like nitrates and can be potentially fatal.

It would be better and safer if they would at least print on the packaging what is in the medicine so that men can know what they are using before taking the pills, but the manufacturers know that they will be found out more quickly if they do this and so they palm off the products in organic looking boxes with the words ‘Traditional’ and ‘Natural’ all over them.

We can’t stress strongly enough the dangers associated with buying unlicensed erectile dysfunction medicines and advise all our readers to stay well away from them.
