Viagra News Update, Possible Spray Version to be Announced
Lots of news rumours are flying about Pfizer’s plans for its number one selling erectile dysfunction drug Viagra. One of the rumours is that Pfizer are considering launching a spray version of Viagra that will probably act far quicker than the pill version of the medicine as it will get to the bloodstream quicker. If they get approval for this type of application of Viagra it will be a clever move as there are already some potential erectile dysfunction remedies that are being tested (but not approved yet) that seek to market an impotence drug with sprays.
Pfizer is already under a lot of pressure from its main rival Cialis that is slowly but steadily taking market share from it and a spray version could give its sales that extra boost that it needs to retain the number one spot for erectile dysfunction medication sales.
The other rumour doing the rounds is that Viagra is seeking to get permission for an over the counter (i.e. no prescription required) version of Viagra. This is less likely to happen as Viagra in the wrong hands can be a dangerous drug and the reason why prescription is required is because it can interact dangerously with other medicines especially blood pressure medication and nitrates for people with heart problems.
At Ukmedix we feel that it is safer for Viagra to stay as a prescription medicine as it must be treated as a serious medication for men with a serious problem and having a spray could open up avenues for abuse of the medicine. It would also appear that it would be more difficult to administer the correct dose and thus people would either take too little or too much of the drug.
Ukmedix News likes to be up to date with all medical advances in the field of erectile dysfunction and will keep its readers up to date also.
