Viagra's Link To Seizures
Ok, so can Viagra or other erectile dysfunction loss drug cause a man to have a seizure? This is something that men who are thinking about using the impotence sometimes worry about.
Ukmedix News has only come across a few cases where this is supposed to have happened but in none of the cases could it be categorically proved that the reason for the seizure was the Viagra. In the FDA clinical trials for Viagra that were done in America involving tens of thousands of men only four cases of seizures were reported after using the impotence drug. The chances are that if you have been a regular user of Viagra and you have experienced no serious side effects or seizures then you have nothing worry about whatsoever.
With the Levitra drug some seizures have been reported to the medical authorities in America but the men had taken between 2 and 4 times the allowed dosage of the impotence drug. Cialis is the only drug which has not had any seizures reported with its use.
Interestingly scientists have spotted a possible link between the use of erectile dysfunction PDE-5 inhibitors and possible seizures, as it is known that release of the all-important nitric oxide can have an implication for the threshold limit of seizures. However this is such an obscure and negligible risk that doctors are happy to prescribe Viagra, Cialis and Levitra even to men who had a previous history of seizures.
Given the massive use of erectile dysfunction drugs over the last few years and the small amounts of adverse affects, the drugs are considered to be clinically very very safe for use. They must however be used properly and that is why a prescription should be obtained from a doctor in all cases when using Viagra, Cialis of Levitra. It is likely that most of the bad effects from using Viagra occur when it is used incorrectly and dangerously.
