Viagra Sales In Spain

13 February 2007 (Tuesday)

Sales of Viagra in Spain are booming according to recent figures released by Pfizer in Madrid and the popularity of the drug has been stressed by a recent case in which a pharmacy owner was held up at gunpoint and told to hand over all of his Viagra. It turned out that the gun was in fact not real and the man who used them in a fit of remorse even turned up later with flowers to apologise. He was swiftly arrested.

Pfizer in Spain last year sold almost 1 million boxes of the little blue pill meaning that they sold an 80 Euro box for every seventeen men in the country. In Spanish the impotence drug is nicknamed ‘sexo azul’ meaning the ‘blue sex’ drug.

The Viagra drug is something that has become part of Spanish culture these days and is openly talked about by men and women of all ages. Worrying say some doctors and health professionals the drug is being used by many men who party too hard and then use the impotence drug as a means to ensure that at the fisnish of the night they will be able to perform sexually. This can be dangerous, as the drug is not meant to be combined with illegal drugs and alcohol as it can put stress on the heart. They often keep the fact that they are using Viagra away from their girlfriends and wives.

Women however like the drug too! They don’t use the pills themselves (they are not meant too) but they like the fact that it enables their boyfriends and husbands to keep going for longer in bed and more often.

Doctors also say that the laid back ways of the Spanish are changing fast too and that high stress jobs and lifestyles mean that more men are suffering from erectile dysfunction these days. A prescription should always be obtained from a doctor before using Viagra or any other erectile dysfunction medication like Cialis or Levitra.
