Viagra Spammers Target Pfizer
In a sort of way you almost admire the sheer audacity of it! Internet hackers have managed to get inside some of the computers of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical company namely Pfizer and send out millions of emails advertising their famous erectile dysfunction drug Viagra. There must have been a few red faces at Pfizer when the news of this security breach leaked out.
According to reports almost 140 I. P. addresses which make up part of the company’s internal networks have been blacklisted after they were seen to be sending out thousands of spam e-mails. Surprising not only Viagra but even the second best selling erectile dysfunction drug in the world made by Eli Lilly namely Cialis was advertised in the emails. At least the people who received emails would have been unaware that the spam was coming from Pfizer computers as the program that sends out the spam gives the idea that they are coming from Google email accounts.
Hundreds of companies all around the world have been affected by viruses and security network breaches which infect computers and start to send out spam emails with the person using the computer being completely unaware of what is going on. This makes it extremely difficult for security analysts to trace the original source of the spam and thus the criminals that send them out often get away with it.
Be aware of this problem and make sure that you always have good antivirus software on your computer as you may unsuspectingly become part of a Viagra spamming conspiracy. The majority of spam going around the internet involves the sale of erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra and it is estimated that billions are sent out every single day. Most of these spammers who send out these emails are just interested in getting your credit card details and are likely to send you nothing at all.
