ViagraOysters May Soon Be Available

31 May 2007 (Thursday)

Ukmedix News has learned that a consortium of oyster farmers in Australia is feeding the active ingredient of Viagra to them. The idea is that by feeding Viagra to the oysters it will enhance their aphrodisiac properties. The farmers claim that they have worked out a special way of giving the oysters the Viagra and that they have copyrighted the process. The Viagra oysters could have a big market in Asia and the farmers reckon that that they could sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth every year.

The man who came up with the idea had recently experienced prostate cancer and was prescribed Viagra by his doctor. He decided to sprinkle the Viagra on his oysters to get himself in the mood one night and as he said “an idea was born”. Teaming up with a group of oyster farmers he persuaded them to try and grow the oysters in special water tanks that had been infused with Viagra. Oysters develop by consuming nutrients and anything else that is in water and thus when the oysters were fully grown it was noted that they had a little bit of sildenafil citrate, the key ingredient of Viagra in them.

However it is not all that simple as Pfizer the manufacturer ofViagra has launched a legal challenge to the registration of the name ViagraOysters and say that the promotion of the ViagraOysters is illegal. The people behind the ViagraOysters say that they are prepared to fight in court and hope that they will be allowed to sell their products in Asia. In the meantime the court battle will give them much needed publicity and could be a marketing dream.

At Ukmedix News we would like to remind our readers that Viagra is a prescription medicine and should only be taken with advice from a doctor and that these ViagraOysters have not been proven to be safe and should not be consumed.
